Why do great products still fail?
I have seen many technological products that could be extremely impactful to our lives, however struggle to survive the market. It frustrates me that products, no matter how functional (or even life-saving) they may be, die out everyday. Having one foot in business and one foot in technical fields, I would like to build the much-needed bridge that can close the gap between technological development and its arrival to the consumer's hand.

I am a passionate and experienced product owner, having worked with multiple software products from different industries, B2B and B2C. I successfully delivered cusomter-centric products from idea to market, as well as optimized existing products to capture new values for users.
Having the right data at the right time in the right place is crucial to the success of the applications. I have experience with both relational and dimensional database models, on-premise and cloud solutions, storing and processing data at large scale.
In the age of Big Data, data is gold. Just as gold, it needs mining, processing and presentating. Horned by years of rigorous training, my strong analytical skills and attention to details can help making the numbers actionable, enable real-time decision making.
How to keep innovating and bringing new values to users? How to quickly test the value of these product ideas? How to ensure constant learning? How to keep the team motivated? Questions like this keep me running the whole day. I am a hands-on, pragmatic person and bring the Agile mindset everywhere with me.
Transitioning from traditional domestic, co-located teams to international, distributed teams requires a lot of effort to ensure transparency and integrity of the project teams. Being a digital citizen and having worked extensively in virtual collaboration, I have the required knowledge and skills to support effectively the management of the 'new' organizations.
A product person constantly needs to talk, listen and negogiate with stakeholders, championing your product vision while solving complex business and user problems. Strong communication skills and resolve have enabled me to succesfully solve conflicts, persever with my user-centric believes and initiate changes in my organizations.
The PIEoneer awards are an initiative by The PIE News – one of the leading news media in international higher education. The awards seek to recognise both individuals and organisations who are pushing professional standards, evolving their engagement, or redefining the international experience. The awards are granted by a distinguished judging panel representing geographical and professional diversity. My product at Studyportals (Best Fit) received the award. It allows students to calculate their success potential regarding applying for a particular university and study programme. The Best Fit tool takes the guess work out of choosing which education institutions to research when looking for the right international study options. The tool currently impacts over 1M prospective students per year and growing.
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is an exam intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA.
We all know how important data about our web users can be. Basic questions such as “How to drive more traffic to your website” are best answered with data analytics.
